After a year of study in Art Academy in Quimper, the Artist went through the need of learning History before practice. A more traditional idea of Art to learn before creating. Gwenola has study History of 3 years and then studying law has become logical to understand the Art market .

Since her first creations, she has always represent human body and portraits, and if she realizes herself in abstraction it is because of her love of colors. The techniques are for Gwenola Kaigre a really big matter because of her study she has learned, historically, how it has deeply change the artists creations. Taking time to try the fluids ans pigments together to get a shiny or mat aspect or just having a thin or heavy paint is a huge part in her work. Giving birth to a creation since the first ages of humanity has always been a source of questioning and it is inspiring for her own work.

After a quick look on the creations of Gwenola Kaigre, we see appearing bubbles and organics details that looks like micro vision of life. And it is part of her work to experiment shapes into various directions to finally get into abstraction. Barbapapa Splash is representing this experiences. The choice to work on series is not a matter of quantity but of experimentation to get into other directions and to enlarge indefinitely the possibilities of expression.

In need to represent the Beauty in life and the joy of living, her Art is guided by esthetic and balance. Gwenola Kaigre is an hedonist in search of her own vision of perfection with the knowledge that she won't be able to get to it anyway.

Also writer and interpret of musics for some short movies, she lend her voice to accompany a pianist player and composer Johan Grandin.

The first exhibition of Gwenola Kaigre's creations was in June 2008 and since she has also made some other exhibition in Belgium, where she lives now.
